You Deserve a Safe Fresh Start.
Every month, Old Florida Moving provides one completely free move for a domestic violence survivor in our community. No cost. No strings attached. Just a helping hand when you need it most.
Why We Do This
This program is personal to me. I know firsthand what it means to need help and not have anyone show up. Growing up, I watched someone I love struggle through a situation she shouldn’t have had to face alone. That experience never left me.
When I started Old Florida Moving, I made a promise to myself: if I was ever in a position to help someone escape a dangerous situation, I would. This program is that promise in action.
Leaving an abusive situation is one of the hardest things a person can do. The last thing someone in that position should have to worry about is how to move their belongings to safety. That’s where we come in.
Once a month, we set aside a full moving day — completely free — for one survivor in our community. We show up, we move your things, and we treat you with the dignity and respect you deserve.
Your safety comes first. Everything is handled with complete confidentiality.
A Message from Alex
“I built this company on the belief that a local business should give back to the community it serves. There is no community without the people in it — and every person deserves to feel safe in their own home.”
“If you or someone you know needs help getting out of a dangerous situation, please reach out. We are here, we are discreet, and we will show up for you.”
