Hear It From People We’ve Moved
Real reviews from Google, word for word.
Alex and the team at Old Florida Moving were absolutely fantastic from start to finish. They were professional, courteous, efficient, and incredibly communicative throughout the entire process. What really impressed me was the level of care they took with our furniture – and especially with our large rugs. They carefully measured everything, rotated the rugs, and placed each piece with incredible precision. Everything ended up exactly where it needed to be, and the attention to detail was exceptional. It’s rare to find movers who combine efficiency with this level of care and professionalism. Alex was wonderful to work with, and I would highly recommend Old Florida Moving to anyone looking for a moving company they can truly trust. Five stars without hesitation!
Very professional and hardworking moving company. I would highly recommend. They were on time and had a friendly positive attitude. Good price too.
We hired Alex and his crew at Old Florida Moving to move my grandmother from Gainesville to Crystal River, and they did an amazing job. My grandmother was especially worried about her antique vanity that means so much to her, but they handled it with incredible care and professionalism. Alex personally came out to the job with his crew, and you could tell they truly cared. Everything arrived safely, and the whole move was smooth and stress-free. Highly recommend Old Florida Moving!

Moving In or Out of Mayo?
Mayo is the county seat of Lafayette County and the only incorporated town in the county, with about 1,000 residents. John B. Whitfield settled it in 1874 and named it for Colonel James M. Mayo.
Lafayette County is the second-least populous county in Florida, and the Suwannee River forms its entire eastern boundary. Out here, a move often means a country lot, a long driveway and a lot of open road.
Lafayette Blue Springs State Park, home to one of Florida’s first-magnitude springs, is about seven miles northwest of town off US 27, and Troy Spring State Park is also in the county.
Downtown still has its 1908 Lafayette County Courthouse, and the 1883 old courthouse is now a bed and breakfast. Whether you’re moving into town, out to family land or leaving Mayo for anywhere in Florida, Old Florida Moving is happy to make the drive.

That’s me, Alex, the owner. I answer the phone, I quote the job, and I’m on the truck the day you move. Small towns like Mayo are exactly where I like to work. Thirteen years in professional moving.
